Lee Equity Partners Closes $1.6BN Reinvestment in McLarens Global Limited

PR Newswire

NEW YORK, Oct. 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Lee Equity Partners, LLC ("Lee Equity"), a leading investment firm specializing in investments in the financial and healthcare services sectors, announced the closing of a $1.6 billion recapitalization of McLarens Global Limited ("McLarens" or the "Company") to extend its long-term partnership with the Company (the "Transaction"). The Transaction provides existing shareholders with the option to receive liquidity or remain invested and provides McLarens with access to significant new growth capital commitments to support the continued execution of the Company's growth strategy.

The recapitalization was led by a new investment from Lee Equity's most recent fund, Lee Equity Partners Fund IV, LP, and supported by participation from several blue-chip institutional investors.

McLarens is the largest pure-play provider of technical insurance claims services to the complex commercial insurance claims market. Founded more than 90 years ago, McLarens operates across a global network of 170 offices in 43 countries and employs more than 1,600 experts. The Company serves many of the world's largest insurance companies, brokers and multinational corporates, assisting with their highest severity and most technically complex insurance losses.

Lee Equity initially partnered with McLarens' management team in December 2018 through an investment from Lee Equity Partners Fund III, L.P. Since that time, McLarens has more than tripled in size, expanded its geographic presence and added new service lines and specialties through a combination of strong organic growth and 18 strategic acquisitions.

"Our partnership with Lee Equity has been instrumental in driving McLarens' growth and transformation," said Gary Brown, CEO of McLarens. "Their support has allowed us to make the investments in talent, technology and capabilities necessary to maintain our world class levels of client service in a rapidly changing insurance market. We look forward to building on this momentum as we enter our next phase of growth."

"Our continued investment in McLarens reflects the strength of our partnership and the exceptional results Gary and the McLarens team have achieved to date," said Mark Mauceri, Partner at Lee Equity. "We're excited to support the Company as it continues to expand globally, enhance its service offerings, and build on its market leading reputation for excellence in complex claims management."

Lee Equity has a long track record of investing in the insurance industry, with successful investments in specialty insurance services companies such as Captive Resources, K2 Insurance, Simplicity Group, Axis Insurance, and Arcadian Risk Capital amongst others.

Evercore served as financial advisor and Weil, Gotshal & Manges served as legal advisor to Lee Equity on the Transaction.
