TORONTO, Sept. 1, 2026 /CNW/ -- On July 29, 2026, a hearing panel of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) heard a motion brought by Abid Hossain (the Respondent) under the Mutual Fund Dealer Rules. The Respondent sought an order requiring TD Investment Services Inc. (TDIS), through an appropriate employee or designate, to produce certain records for inspection and provide copies of certain records to the Respondent by August 7, 2026.
The hearing panel dismissed the Respondent's motion.

The motion relates to a disciplinary proceeding against the Respondent addressing allegations that he:
(a) misappropriated, misapplied, or failed to account for the proceeds of redemptions of client investments that he processed; and
(b) failed to cooperate with an investigation by CIRO Staff into his conduct.

The alleged violations occurred while the Respondent was a Dealing Representative with TDIS in the Toronto, Ontario area. He is not currently registered with a CIRO-regulated firm in any capacity.
